I painted Stay Gold, (that I think) the best successor of Sunday Silence (USA), in his early racing days when S.Kumazawa rode on his back. He was not the champion horse, but many horserace fans loved his unique character. Now he is the sire of Orfevre (the winner of 2011 JRA classic triple crowns and Arima-kinen, Takarazuka Kinen, and the runner-up of Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe twice) and many Japanese champion horses.
